Chief of Finance

Scope:
- To lead the EPI finance department.
- To act as the focal point for EPI in all accounting, controlling and tax matters with EPI S.L., shareholders, customers and other third parties such as but not limited to external auditors, tax advisors.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for managing and controlling the EPI budget, preparing financial reports and presentations for the EPI management and the EPI shareholders including presentation to the Board of Directors.
- Responsibility for proper accounting and the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Responsibility for tax compliance, in particular VAT, income tax and transfer pricing.
- Close cooperation with the EPI management and departments as well as external stakeholders such as tax advisors, auditors and shareholders.
- Continuous development of the financial department in the direction of process improvements including EPI ERP system.
- Ensure compliance to the EPI Quality Management System.
- Manage risk related to financial department and related to tax issues
- Review of EPI draft contracts in terms of financial aspects prior to release to the customer or supplier.
Profile:
Professional Skills:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration with major in Finance.
- 5 – 7 years on the job experience in Finance and ideally in Programme Management.
- Sound knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) accounting principles.
- Willingness to familiarise with tax matters. Knowledge of German/EU tax law, especially VAT may be preferred.
- Experience in Project Management may be preferred.
- Good SAP FI/CO and MS Office knowledge.
- Very good language skills in German and English.
